Helpers - Christmas 2025

I debated a lot about whether there would be dolls involved in the running of this shop. I still haven't decided, to be honest.

I am busily working on making all kinds of new things for the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls & Toys' annual "Little Show" next year. It's a fun show and I look forward to it every year. So while I'm busy creating, I thought that maybe for all this unpacking, some helpers might be a good thing.

Enter my Phicen girls, Jaye and Robin.

They both got right to work. Jaye started on this box of lights and garland.

She does look enthusiastic. :) And Robin got right to unpacking this box of tiny Christmas trees.

I get the impression from how Robin kept asking Jaye things that Jaye might have stepped up into a "management" kind of role.

They were a big help, even if I think they were not so enthusiastic about having "jobs" now. We'll see.

I played with/photographed dolls for a long, long time. I'm not sure I want to do it anymore. (You can see lots of my old doll photos and adventures here if you like - mirandawandering.blogspot.com). Though these two are a lot of fun.

While I'm deciding, I'll just keep messing about with the store, and finding great clothes for these two Phicen ladies here - DebsMiniatureClothes.etsy.com (HIGHLY recommended. Deb's stuff is amazing, affordable and it all looks so great on my dollies. If you have Phicens I don't have to tell you they are big time clothes horses!)

So... back to making stuff. We're hoping for a Wylde Seasons "grand opening" on the 1st of November! It's coming up fast! I guess I'm glad I've got the girls to help out. :)

First Shipment Arrives - Christmas 2025

Our first tubs full of stock have arrived!

A million years ago, when I was a younger Wendy, I worked a LOT of retail. And this is how I remember some of the shipments arriving. Great bunches of plastic tubs, filled with products to put on the shelves. There was always lots of paperwork that the manager had to deal with, and then detailed print-outs of everything in the boxes.

Making these brought back a lot of memories.

I think that stocking this tiny store might too. I am ALREADY having so much fun with this little building. And it's not even "open" yet!

So much stuff.... maybe I need some help unpacking. Hmmm...

New to the Wylde Kingdom Business District - Wylde Seasons!

My friend gave me this wonderful little vintage mercantile. She found it in a thrift store, so I don't know who made it, or which kit it might have been. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it, and after living with it for a few days, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.

Introducing Wylde Seasons!  A tiny, 1:12 scale, miniature holiday shop! I'll restock it for each holiday, and it'll be the newest shop in the Wylde Kingdom Business District!

It's got plenty of built in shelves, and a terrific loft!

I haven't had a dollhouse to just play with in a really long time and it turns out I missed it a lot. So this is going to be super fun! I didn't get it in time to set up for Halloween, but in the true retail spirit, I'll be starting with Christmas, immediately after Halloween!

So yeah, I'm very excited about this. Thank you so much, Git, for this wonderful little shop! I can't wait to see how it turns out!
